Jessica Ellen Cornish, popularly referred to as Jessie J, is a popular English music producer and singer. The singer is well-known for her distinctive music style that combines soul vocals with pop, electropop and hip-hop, Jessie garnered much fame even at the age of. The awards she has won include the 2011 Critics' Choice Brit Award and BBC's Sound of 2011 as well as numerous nominations. Jessie began her professional career at the young age of 11, when she was in the production of "Whistle Down the Wind' by English composer Andrew Lloyd Webber. Then, she joined the National Youth Music Theater and was part of their 2002 production, 'The Late Sleepers'. She made headlines when she released her debut studio album 'Who You Are'. It immediately became a hit. In the first week the album was sold out to 105,000 people in the UK and 34,000 across the US. It topped the charts at second in the UK Albums Chart and number 11 on US Billboard 200. Jessie has also earned a reputation for her work in the field of charity and she is a part of charities such as 'Children in Need,' and "Comic Relief."
