Allison Pregler is a reviewer who takes on Z-grade movies usually within the genre of martial arts and horror. genre. The style is similar that of The Cinema Snob but tending toward action films that are dumb and boring, as well as a morbid enjoyment of the genre. The reviews began in the latter half of 2009, and following her rise to fame (under the name of Obscurus Lupa, which was previously used), Allison Pregler became part of Channel Awesome's family. She remained part of the site through January of 2015, after which Obscurus Lupa Presents changed into Movie Nights. She currently hosts two podcasts: one focused on the Charmed franchise and the other co-hosted with Phelous. After a controversial departure from Channel Awesome Allison officially announced on January 20th 2015 that she'd be revamping OLP into an impromptu review show called Movie Nights with an appropriately-shlocky elevator jazz theme. Her appearances on Midnight Screenings were usually reviews of shite films for children or RiffTrax however, she also appeared in the odd adult comedy. She began in late 2009 reviewing films, and began to gain a following on the Channel Awesome forums. She joined the group of film critics. She's appeared on numerous Channel Awesome shows from Atop the Fourth Wall to Phelous & the Movies. She was featured on numerous shows from Nostalgia Critic and was a former member of the Channel Awesome family together with Doug Walker.
