LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born December 30, 1984) is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). King James is widely regarded as one of basketball's greatest players. He is often in comparison to Michael Jordan when discussing the most famous player. James holds four NBA champions. There are four NBA MVPs. Four NBA Finals MVPs. Three All-Star MVPs. Two Olympic gold medals. James has earned the second greatest number of goals in his career and seventh-highest assists. James has been chosen as an NBA All-Star 18 times. James has been named to be an NBA All-Star 18 times to the All-NBA Team a record 18 times and to be named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team five times. He participated in the 10 NBA Finals, the third-most of all time. It was eight in a row between 2011 and 2018. James was selected as a part of the NHL75th Anniversary Team. And in 2022, he became only the third NBA player to ever score 10,000 or higher career points. James was a basketball player at St. Vincent St. Mary High School within his home town of Akron Ohio and was heavily touted by the national media as a potential NBA superstar. The Cleveland Cavaliers selected him with the number one pick of the NBA draft in 2003. In 2004, he received the title of NBA Rookie. He quickly became one of league's top players and was awarded the NBA MVP in both 2009 and the year 2010. James signed for the Miami Heat in 2010 when James became a Free Agent after not achieving the title with Cleveland. The announcement of his departure was broadcast in The Decision.
